That is when the pantry, with your support, can help make life a little easier for those enduring hard times and worrying about providing enough food for their families.
Each week the pantry volunteers distribute eggs, milk, butter, cheese, bread and fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a choice of chicken, meat or fish. Staples such as rice, pasta, cooking oil and a variety of dried and canned goods are available on alternate weeks. Occasionally we are able to provide personal hygiene products and, at times, even emergency pet food.
In addition to providing food staples, we provide recipients with information and organize demonstrations showing how to prepare cost-efficient, nutritious meals. We also provide information on how to access social services.
